Parents of Jesse R. Steed, born 1761 in Frederick County, VA?

I have married into the Steed family and was talking with my in-laws over the holidays about their geneology. After some discussion, it turns out that a family member put together fairly thorough that traces the Steed family back to Jesse R. Steed, born 1761 in Frederick County, VA... but it stops there. I was wondering if anyone had any information beyond Jesse R?
