Agnes (Olver?) Steed was my gg grandmother. She was born in Duloe, Cornwall, England, and married William Knight in St Pinnock, Cornwall, on 27 March 1854, before they emigrated to Ballarat, Australia. William was born about 1831. My grandfather, and their son, Robert Leonard Knight (b. 27 Oct 1879 in Ballarat, Australia) came to New Zealand looking for gold in the South Island.
I am trying to trace the parents of William and Agnes, but finding avenues sparse from NZ.
