I've discovered that our SPICER family originate from the Lambeth area of London, England, dating back to John Andrew SPICER (b. circa 1810) who married Grace SCRIVENS c. 1834, Clerkenwell, London.

Their son, Alfred Charles SPICER, was born in 1839 at Lambeth, occupation: Potter. He married Mary Ann SHONE in 1867 at Lambeth, and they had a number of children, including my husband's great grandmother, Mary Ann SPICER. Mary Ann was born circa 1868 at Lambeth, and married Charles HAINES circa 1892 (still looking for marriage details!).

If any other researchers are tracing the same line I would love to exchange family data.
