James David Spears of South Carolina is the name of the ancestor i am looking for he would be my great great grandpa. he was born about 1845 in south carolina his parents are James Speer of North carolina and Elizabeth Crawford of South Carolina both born 1805.
James wife was martha m. roberts born 14 feb 1846 in Horry county, South Carolina and died June 3, 1924
James David spears died June 7 1915 .
he served in the confederacy during the civil war as private J.D. Spears was wounded at the battle of Atlanta ,GA on July 22, 1864
i have his birthdate based on death certificate as may 6, 1824 the date may be right but the year is in question as that based on census 1845 would be the year of birth.
james david spears and Martha M. had several children one which would be my great grandma her name is Martha Ann Spears she was born on 7 march 1874 in south carolina died sept 11, 1938 all of the above are buried at cool springs cementary in s.c. if you can help with information on any of the above it would be appreciated.
