Chester and Nona, both, died in Boone County. I got their death certificates from the Boone County Courthouse. Nona Spears - Walls was born on November 15, 1889 and died on August 27, 1969. She died at Boone Memorial Hospital due to cardiac arrest at 6:10 am. Doctor Wallace (apparently)pronounced her dead. She was widowed at the time and lived in Madison. Father's name is Jesse Spears. Mother's name is listed as unknown. John Walls was the informant and lived in Madison.
Chester Walls died on October 4, 1965 due to apoplexy. Father's name is John Walls. Mother's name is Sara Johnson - Walls. I don't know why but that is all that's really on the death certificate. There is no time of death, no attending doctor or nothing. Not even a birthday. However, I know that his birthday is June 16, 1869. It's on his headstone at Ryan's Cemetery in Morrisvale.
Of course, where the Lincoln County Courthouse burned down, I can't get a birth certificate from there and Vital Registration doesn't have it. By the way, Boone County Courthouse burned down at one time, as well. So, some information, not all, are hard to obtain on the Boone County side. We didn't lose as many records as Lincoln County. So, in that aspect, we're more fortunate. But my problem isn't the Boone County area, it's Lincoln County.
Those are the only certificates that I have, right now, on the Spears and Walls side.
