He was b. 01 Jul 1879 in Cleveland, Ohio where he lived his whole life. I have a picture of him in uniform. On the hat is his unit; 23rd w/ crossed rifles and an M. I also have a copy of the roster for the 23rd. company L which lists a Pvt. Lipscomb, no first name. The roster was issued when the unit was in the Phillipines. He contracted yellow fever and was sent to the states to get well. I know that he received a pension?/disability? but the Archives have no record of him.
Any suggestions of where to look for records of his service, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
