Looking for info on Snell family living in Essa, Simcoe South, Ontario about 1881. Joseph Snell born 1846 in Ireland had married a woman named Maria Milligan who had 2 children born in Ontario - Frances born 1866 and Thomas born 1867. The Milligan children appear on the 1881 census using the name Snell. Joseph and Maria also had at least one child of their own- daughter Norrise born 1879 who went by the name Nora. Daughter Frances married Robert Kirk-born 1859 Ireland, a bricklayer. Frances & her Kirk sons moved to US side of Sault Ste. Marie about 1892. Did Snell's also move to Michigan?
