Dear Wendy, I am new to this site and thrilled to see so much interaction. I found your question of James S. Sibley in a message dated 2/2/02 asking if Uxbridge was meant to be in England and I am reporting that it is. I just spent three days reading the first volume of the Sibley Family in America book (red cover). The original two Sibley's in the "US" were Richard and John who came from Uxbridge, England after they settled their father's estate there and traveled to Salem,MA. They left their Father and a brother behind. I am interested in the Sibley's in England who were left behind and you said your father is a Sibley from that area. My grandmother is a Sibley born in Canada and descendant of the branch from England who moved to Nova Scotia, Canada in the 1700's and are well documented in the Sibley Book. Would you please respond if your father has a written or oral history and back to When? I wish to obtain any clues. Thanks.
