Joseph Sibley

In the 13 March 1805 issue of the Massachusetts Spy or Worcester [Massachusetts] Gazette there is a death notice as follows: "At Andover, Vermont, Capt. Joseph Sibley, aged 66, formerly of Sutton." This sounds to me as if it might be Joseph Sibley, born 30 August 1739 in Sutton, who was married to Abigail Gibbs. I have never located death information for either of them. Deed Records from Worcester County contain no references to Joseph after about 1800, and he is on the 1800 census in Massachusetts, but not thereafter. I welcome any comments or thoughts on this item and am happy to share with any interested researcher. I descend from Joseph Sibley (1762-1827), son of Joseph Sibley (b. 1739, Sutton). Joseph (1762-1827) moved from Sutton to Charleston, South Carolina about 1790.
