Hello. Someone has reminded me of a long-time, family friend of my mother during the 1940's and 1950's. The lady was Mrs. Barbara SIBLEY of Greenfield, MA. I believe that she and my mother became friends during their teen-age or young-adult years, but I don't remember how they met.
I do remember visiting Eugene and Barbara SIBLEY and their family in Greenfield while I was a child in the 1950's. And, I don't remember when my mother lost contact with her friend, Barbara.
My mother still has an old photo of she and Barbara in a humorous position of standing with an oxen yoke over their heads. It is possible that they met while my father was stationed in Springfield, MA, when he first joined the Army Air Corps in WW II.
I'm curious whether this SIBLEY family is still living in the Greenfield, MA, area.
If any of their descendants happen to read this posting, my parents would have been known as .. "Stan" and "Betty" from Winchester and Arlington, MA.
