Do you know if there is a connection between the Sibley family and the Sartin family that was in southern Mississippi? William and Leander Sartin in the following record are my g.g.g. uncles. William married Martha Jane Craft and Leander married Sarah Eveline Smith.

Marion Co. Court Records:

Petition of William Sartin shows that John Cyrus Sibley and Malissa Ann Sibley, minors more then 14 years of age and heirs at law of John Sibley, deceased, late of Covington County, have made as their legal choice as their guardian the peitioner, William Sartin. Dated November 16, 1857.

Bond: William Sartin with Leander Sartin as security, is bound as guardian to the above minors.
