Anne,
What great information. I would be interested in anything else you might have.

The only question that I have is the 1900 census of East Baton Rouge Parish lists Pleasant Moores mother and father as having been born in North Carolina. That would exclude him from being born in Wayne County, MS. He must have emigrated their from NC.

I would be interested in studying this further. Many North Carolinians and South Carolinians emigrated via Memphis and down the Mississippi to the state. So, the birth state makes sense.

What other information might you be able to share?

Thanks,

Whit
