Search of Rev. War Pension records indicate that there were two John Sibleys. One was a doctor and was located in LA at the time of his application. The other John was a sergent in the Rev. War and lived in AMITE Co. MS at the time of his application.

Search of the Roster of SC soldiers who fougt in the revolution also mentions a John and specifically states that he resided in MS after the war. This is likely the John in AMITE county. I think the two are intirely different people based on the Rev. Pension Applications.

Basically it sems that most of the Sibleys originally came from the MA area. A line I am interested in made stops in GA before movining to LA in the early 1800's.
