John G Sibley of Copiah County Mississippi

I could really use some help. In searching for information on the lineage of Pleasant Moore Sibley. I came across two distinct situations. One is the issue of who is John Sibley. There are three distinct John's. John, Sr. of Amite County; John, Jr. of Amite County (presumably his son) and John G., of Copiah County Mississippi.

I have heard tell that John G. is known as John, Jr.. This doesn't hold up because those two distinct individuals show up in the census together in two different counties. Furthermore, John Jr. is found with his father John Sr. in the South Carolina Census prior to their migrating to Mississippi.

That being said, does anybody have any information on John G. Sibley of Copiah County Mississippi and where he might have come from. I would love to try to track his lineage if possible.

Thanks,

Whit
