My gmother, Alice Sibley, is a daughter of W C Sibley and Sarah Sibley (1880 Ellis County census). Alice's siblings according to the 1880 census were: brother William, age 12; brother Arthur, age 8; sister Mary, age 6, sister Pearle, age 4, and sister Irene, age 2. At the time of the 1880 census the parents were in their mid thirty's, so more siblings may have followed.
The census lists W C Sibley as a farmer but I was told in my youth that he was a merchant. Please - does anyone out there know anything at all about any of this family?
