Don't know why Ihaven't spotted your message before!!
My family of Sherwins originate come from Nottingham, as do I.
My Gt. Grandfather John William RAVEN married Maria SHERWIN November 24th 1887.
Maria's parents were William and Sophia SHERWIN Sophia died aged only 23 yrs and William married again to Elizabeth Ball April 4th 1877.
William's parents were Francis SHERWIN and Maria Falkner.
