Please can anyone help me? I am trying to trace my great, great grand-parents Walter and Ellen Sherwin who lived in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. I am told they came from England, but we are not sure, also that they were Plymouth Brethren. I am also told that Ellen as of a Jewish family before she married Walter. Ellen died around 1948/1949.
Ellen Sherwin possibly had 14 children, one being my great grand-mother Isabelle Sherwin. Isabelle married a Greig and went onto have two children Eve ( who became my grand-mother and married Jack Miller, they had two children Lynette my mother who had me and my brother Dominic, and Nicole Miller who married David and has no children)and Hilva who married Ken Mckenzie and went onto have four children.
My mother Lynette left South Africa and came to England with me, and had my brother Dominic here. Our side are still in England, the rest of the family are still in South Africa.
Does anyone know anything? I am really stuck and do not know were else to look. My family living family do not know anymore than the above.
