Here is what I believe to be the correct line for you. Lee Martin Sheffer, (b 1 Dec 1833 Dongola, Union Co, IL-d 31 Dec 1910 Dongola, Union Co, IL) youngest son of Andrew Sheffer (b 1786 Wythe Co, VA-d 13 Mar 1859 Dongola, Union Co, IL)and Lucy (Unknown) (b 1789 Germany-d between 1850-1859 Dongola, Union Co, IL. Lee Martin married Martha Elizabeth Croft 21 Jun 1855 Union Co, IL. I have nine children listed for them one of which (third child) is John Franklin Sheffer b 18 Apr 1862 Union Co, IL-d 11 Nov 1951) married Sarah Frances Poole (b 15 Feb 1870-d 1918-1919) 1 Mar 1888 Union Co, IL. The only child I have listed is Arthur J Sheffer (b 6 Nov 1898 Union Co, IL-d 16 Aug 1964 Union Co, IL). The reason I found Arthur is he was the informant for the death information for John Franklin Sheffer.
