I am interested in sharing information with anyone who is researching the family of MOSES SHAFFER d. 15 Jan. 1900 in Sioux County, Iowa, married to ALICE GOEBEL or GOBELL (this name may have been Americanized from French). I believe that they emigrated to Clayton County, Iowa, from Canada in approximately 1855, and moved to Sioux County, Iowa in the early 1880s.
