I am looking for info on the children of Benjamin Franklin Shaffer and Clora Louise Leonard Shaffer. My grandmother was their daughter Bessie Frances Shaffer Kinkead Collier. I am particularly interested in their sons, William James Glen Myers Shaffer("Jerry" married Della Ross, born 5 June 1891), son Jennings Bryan Shaffer(b 1898, Married Lola Dunn), daughter Susan Annis Shaffer(b. 1900, married Francis Flaugher) and Mary E. Shaffer(b. 1903, married Jack Searcy).
From Benj. Frank's obit, I know that in 1951, his children,Jerry,Bessie, Lelia, and Nora were living in the Bristol area. Daughter Osie, lived in Benhams, VA. Daughter Mary Searcy lived in Norwood, Va( She later lived in Cincinati, Ohio. I visited her there several times.)Son Bryan is listed as being in Newport, KY. Daughters Virginia Kinkead and Susan Annis Flaugher were in Dayton, Ohio.
Also listed were sister Susie Shankle and brother Baxter.
I have alot of info, but am interested in the brothers as I have very little info on them. Any help would be appreciated. My email address is jeannebullock@comcast.net
