I am looking for info on famliy of Charles Henry Shafer, b. Aug, 1863, MI. I have conflicting info. A birth cert. states he was born in Reading, MI and a marriage lisc. states he was born in Calhoun Co. MI, two separate counties. Census states his father was born in Portugal, but I have no idea as to the father's name.
Charles Henry Shafer married Dora Alice Comstock 1892, this is cert. that states Calhoun Co., MI.
