Looking for information on Christopher Shafer, who appears inthe 1860 census of Aurora, Kane Co, Illinois age 28 with wife Mary, age 21. I know he served in the Union Army, 13th Illinois Infantry and was mustered out in Springfield, Illinois in 1864. Would like to know what happened to him after that.
