An Elizabeth Shafer, the daughter of Benjamin Shafer, is said to have married John Davis somewhere in Virginia in 1791, with son Benjamin Shafer Davis being born there in 1793. Soon thereafter, the family is in Montgomery County, Kentucky. Does anyone have any information on these people?
Benjamin was reportedly from King & Queen County, Virginia, but as Shafer is a German name and there were very few Germans in K&Q, I find this doubtful.
