Searching for any information regarding Jacob/John Shafer/Shaffer/Schaffer of New York who came from Netherlands. I believe he married a Catherine ?, and they had a daughter named Rebecca Shafer b abt. 1775 who married Samuel Miller (his parents are unknown).
