Obit dated 12 Dec 2007 available www.Idahostatesman.com. Parents names are not given for Herb; he was preceded by his wife, Ethel Lohr and by his daughter, Mary Ann; survivors include grandchildren.

From 1930 Fed Census, West York, York, Pennsylvania, parent appears to be Mary V. Shaefer, b. 1891, PA; Herbert is in the home; no father present.
