There is a good chance that they are the same person. Orin is spelled several ways but I haven't found an Orin in that age range not married to Cordelia. Many of the siblings/half siblings of Seth have been assigned different birthdays in various records such as family bibles. Orin may have been a full sibling to David Shadduck who was also born in Steuben Cty, NY. At least for one census they gave his birth place as Pa. but that is not true. The most accepted birthdate for David is 14 Aug 1816 according to his descendants. David's mother was a Martilla ?, not Betsey Willard. Joseph had a 4th marriage in NY. He also had 22 Children and it appears that a number of them were not told the whole story. Although some of them have ironed out with descedants info on birthdates, that does not always help. There are still some unanswered questions about impossibly close birth dates. Also we do not have a birthdate for Esther or who she married. It would be very nice to hear from more descendants. May be we can piece this thing together yet.
