Gotcha! From 1909 Miller's History of Erie Co. PA under James Shadduck...grandson of Joseph Shadduck, one of the original settlers of Erie Co. in 1783 to Greenfield Twp., later to North East (a town in Erie Co.), d. 1849, grandfather Joseph's father Joseph Sr. was born in VT and served in the Rev. War. Another researcher, knowing I am also looking in Erie Co. for my Shadducks, sent me a bible page with a list of all of the children of Joseph Shadduck by his two wives. They are as follows:(by 1st wife Ruby Keith m. 25 Feb 1800)

(by 2nd wife Betsey Willard (or Hillard) m. 1 Feb 1807)

There is also a Clarissa b. 15 Feb 1807, perhaps wife of one of the sons? Deaths noted are Betsey 18 Nov 1859, Clarisha 5 Dec 1860, Charles 7 Dec 1835, Eliza Ann 7 Jun 1820. The Erie Co. History gives the list differently, says 1st wife was Harriet Cass, mother of 18 children, lists David, Esther that weren't on other list. Says 22 children total, 306 grandchildren. Does this help?? I know it's confusing!
