Nicholas Rummel Schaffer, [1846 - 1917] a butcher in Philadelphia,m: Elizabeth Crowley abt 1874
Nicholas was the son of Henry Schaffer, also butcher, b. abt 1803 Philadelphia PA. and his wife Catherine Rummel or Rummell b abt 1804.
Nicholas and Elizabeth had at least 11 children: Harry R, Nicholas Rummel,William C., George W., Ada Elizabeth, Sadie A., Howard J., Florence S., Edna Margaret, Walter Edward.
