Hi! I am desperate for information about my grandfather and his family. I know little.... I got lucky and found a copy of his and my grandmother's marriage certificate from when they were married ( they divorced MANY years ago ) after she died. My father was an only child and he has passed on so I need help! My grandfather's name was August Henry Schaffer. He was born on Nov. 28, 1925. He was a marine for awhile, and he was born in Iowa. His father's name was also August Henry Schaffer - he was also born in Iowa. His mother's name was Ethel Harriette Haines. She was born in Wisconsin ( looking for info on her too ). Thank You for ANY help you can be!
