Charles Schaffer from Missouri 1869

I am looking for info on a Charles Schaffer that was born in Moberly, MO in 1869 and died 1899(place unknown). He had a son named James Arthur Schaffer who was born in Charleston, MO in 1899. James married Mary Jane(Janie) Mills in Caruthersville, Mo in 1920.
I belive Charles Schaffer's father was named Robert Schaffer and he was born somewhere around 1847 in Ohio.

Any help would be great. This is where im stuck!!
