Balthasar Kuns lived in Frederick Co. VA and he and his son, Henry, lived at Brock's Gap, Rockingham Co., VA. We found this marriage between Henry and Susanna Schaeffer in Frederick Co., MD. Her father was George Schaeffer of Loudoun Co, VA.
This Balthasar / Balser Kuns was the possible brother or relative of Henry Koontz of Pipe Creek MD, who m. Dorothy Federkeil who had a son and a grandson named Balthasar Koontz.
There is lots of data on the Pipe Creek Koontz. Can anyone connect our VA Koontz to the MD Koontz? Can anyone tell us about the George Schaeffer of Loudoun County, VA??
Peter Schaeffer is a signature on a marriage bond between Henry's son, James Koontz, and another Schaeffer signature is on a marriage bond of another son, John Koontz. Both Koontz boys married Longenacre girls in Greenbrier Co., VA.
