I'm looking for any information on a Margaret Schaeffer (maiden name) probably born around 1910. My mother was adopted out by this woman very shortly after her birth and my mother's name on the birth certificate was Barbara Schaeffer born in Gary, Indiana in 1929 (father unknown). I am only interested in family genealogy. My mother is still alive at 79 years old. She was adopted by Vernon and Lillie McDonald. Any help would be greatly appreciated and kept confidential.
