Hi Tim:
Have you had any luck finding Jakob Schaefer and Elisabeth Bentz's children??? If not you should go to http://www.odessa3.org/search.html
and Query String type in the surname or the village you are looking for. Then in the Data Category click on the arrow to the right click on on St. Petersburg Archives. I tried Bentz and found a birth to them at Neudorf in 1886. Trying Schaefer I found possibly three births.
Hope this helps.
By the way the LDS has filmed from 1833-1885 you can order the films in and do your own research. You will need to read Old German Script.
