I need information about a Schaeffer (or Schiffer) which is the occupation of Sheep hearding, in Germany. A Sheep hearder from this town was not allowed to marry one of my ancestors, a woman by the last name of Grimm about 1800.
I always thought his name was Alloys Englert or Englert Alloys, but now I am told his name would have to be Schaeffer. Please, reply.
