I'm looking for more info on two sisters (I think) from Wisconsin. Both were born around 1880 - Madeline in WI and Mary Teresa in Kansas. Mary Teresa used both of her names interchangeably and married Charles Hering of Illinois. He was born 1878 and his parents may have come from Germany. The sisters were born to a father from Germany and mother from WI (as per census records). Mary died before 1930 and her youngest child, Belva Hering went to live with aunt Madeline in Seattle. Madeline had been living in Washington State for some time, remaining single and teaching school, working as a servant at a school and running a boarding house. She never married and had no children of her own.
I would love to find the parents of Mary and Madeline Schaefer. Please contact if you can help.
