Friedrich Schafer died 7-29-1875 in German Twp., Vanderburgh Co. IN (Evansville, IN). So he would have not been living in 1921. My Friedrich is my gg-grandfather. He is buried at Richter Cemetary just up the hill from our house. My family still lives on the original 40 acres he bought when he came from New Orleans. He was with the New Orleans Mil. Regiment, Co. G, only for a brief period in Nov. 1861. I have copies of his brief service.
