Diane,
sorry, there is no Grossmoor in Hessen/Nassau. We have in Germany 2 villages, called Grossmoor, the first is in Lower Saxony, near Celle, the second is south of Hamburg, near Seevetal. If your ancesters came from Hessen/Nassau, than the name of the Place is wrong. Please check again. In Hessen I could help you, but to Lower Saxony I have no connections.
