Please read the following obituary and tell me if you can place the four ladies or their husbands. This was printed in the Louisville Courier Journal Oct.18,1947.
Tandy,Hubert Earl, age 39 years:suddenly, Friday,October 17,1947,at 5p.m. Beloved husband of Mrs. Hazel Jobson Tandy,Buechel.Ky. Rt. 2; also survived by father, Mr. Herbert Tandy, Buechel, Ky., Rt 2; brother of Carl Tandy,Prospect, Ky., and half-brother of Clarence Tandy,Mrs. Robert Saylor,Mrs.Herman Davis,Mrs. Joe Greenwell, Mrs. James Ryan, Misses Mattie and Margaret Tandy, all of Louisville. Remains at the McDaniel Funeral Home, Mt. Washington, Ky., where services will be held Monday, October 20, at 2 p.m. Internment in Cave Hill Cemetery.
I know who Carl,Clarence,Mattie and Margaret Tandy are but have never heard the names of the others:Mrs. Robert Saylor, Mrs. Herman Davis, Mrs. Joe Greenwell, or Mrs. James Ryan.
The Father Of Hubert Earl Tandy, was Herbert Benjamin Tandy. He was married to 1)? 2)Pearl Stucker and 3)Beatrice Mae Kennedy. The mother of Carl and Hubert is reported to be Pearl Stucker. The mother of Clarence, Mattie and Margaret was Beatrice Mae Kennedy. Could these women be from Herberts first marriage, or perhaps Pearl Stucker Tandy remarried and had another family. No one in our family knows what happened to Pearl.
