Estill C. Saylor, 80, of Lynn, Ind., died July 7, 2007, at his home after a long battle with cancer.
He was born Nov. 20, 1926, in Rockcastle County, Ky., to James and Etta Saylor.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army and had been a farmer in the Lynn area. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he loved the land and working with animals and enjoyed hunting with his friends.
His loving wife, Jean Abney Saylor, who he married June 2, 1950, survives him. He is also survived by three children, Robert Saylor (Kathy) of Shirley, Ind., Ann Pearson (Bill) of Lynn, Ind., Kathy Wright (Mark) of Greenfield, Ind.; six grandchildren, Brad and Joseph Saylor, Karman and Gabriel Wright and Austin and Aaron Pearson; great-grandchildren, Tylor, Jordan, Wyatt, Mia, Logan, Ally and Landon Saylor; two sisters, Florence Reppert of Mount Vernon, Ky., and Hildry Smith of Texas; and a brother, Conley Saylor of Berea, Ky.
He is preceded in death by brothers, Tim, Harvey, George, Bill and Irven Saylor; and a sister, Collie Belle Scott; and an infant great-grandson, Braden Saylor.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2007, at the Lynn Friends Church. Visitation will be Friday, July 13, 2007, from 9-11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Spartanburg Cemetery
