I am researching my Adair/Adare family who were in N.C./S.C. prior to moving into Ga. around 1784. William Adare received a grant in Wilkes Co., Ga. and he and his son Bozeman Adare b. 1771 were in Jackson Co., Ga. by 1800.
Bozeman's son Whitmill Harrington Adare m. Sarah Sorrells. Their gr. daughter (by son William) was Lucy J. Adair. She married John Sailors in 1863 in Paulding Co., Ga. Their children were: Cephus, Albert A., Sophronia, Glen T.
I am trying to locate just where William and Bozeman were in North or South Carolina before coming to Ga., and who their spouses were.
There was a Nancy Adair who m. Harris Tyner - lived Abbeville, S.C. area before going to Fayette Co., Ind. Their gr.son John m. Nancy Sailors.
