Theresa: You are absolutely correct. Charles Edward Root (Julia McGee) was the son of Albert Root Sr. Lighthouse Keeper on Grenadier Island. My grandmother, Lillian Andress Massey, was born in Albert Root's house on Grenadier and I grew up at Rockport on the mainland. I have lots of information about the Root family that I am happy to share with you. My one gap is the marriage date of Charles and Julia as well as info on their children. I also have no dates on Julia McGee Root. I believe that Charles lived most of his life in NYC. His youngest brother Clarence lived on Long Island. Please contact me at dan.massey@ripnet.com.
