Norma,
I am writing you because I found your message and then I found this information on ancestry.com. My ancestors are Matilda Richison and Edward Striplin. What I'd like to know is if your Anna and my Matilda are sisters. They both lived in Sangamon County, Illinois and got married about the same time (a year apart).
Like you, I've had a horrible time trying to research this family. I have no idea who Matilda's parents were. All I know is that she claims to have been born in Kentucky. You stated your Anna was born in Pennsylvania but maybe the family relocated to Kentucky and then moved on into Illinois.
Anyway, I'm rather desperate because both Matilda and Edward, her husband, remain a huge puzzle for me.
I hope you can help!
