I would appreciate information on a Sir John Richardson (b. about 1551 in England, later Military Governor General of Barbados), and/or a Sir Edward Richardson (b. about 1675 in England, died about 1765 in South Carolina). Both were reportedly involved as Naval Officers in bringing indentured servants or slaves to Barbados and negotiating with buyers primarily from Chaleston, S.C. Thomas Richardson (b. about 1752 in S.C., died March, 1818, in Darlington County, S.C.) and Joseph Richardson (b. about 1774, died after 1827) remained in S. C. Joseph's son Wright Montillion Richardson (b. 1798, d. 1860) was born in Darlington County, S.C., and later (sometime before 1950) moved with his family to Baldwin County, Alabama. Most of the next generation adopted the surname of Richerson.
