I found this article in some old GA newspaper clippings. If this is your ancestor and you would like a photo of the Eagle Tavern, I have one I'll be happy to share. The Eagle Tavern is still standing in Sparta, GA.
This is not my line and I have no further information on James S Richardson.

"Accidentally killed, Mr. James S. RICHARDSON
was killed in Sparta Tuesday evening by a fall from the window of his apartment in the second story of the Eagle Tavern. He was a native of England and a teacher of music. May 19, 1823."
