I'm writing a book on 18th century British and American trade and am looking for information about a "Mr. Richardson [who] married Miss Bridges, a relative of Mrs. Layland." I'd like to pinpoint more exactly who this character was. It is likely he lived and worked in New England but I am not completely sure on this point. He flourished circa 1720-1790.
