This past weekend, I located my gggg grandmother, Martha Ann (Richardson) Swanner in the 1850 Census of Union Co., N.C., as a 14-year-old girl. The census listing is: Household # 862; Family # 862 Milbry (=Milbra) Ashcraft, 70, f Cinthia (Cynthia) Richardson, 40, f Ann Richardson, 24, f Mary Richardson, 17, f Martha Richardson, 14, f Joseph Richardson, 11, m James Richardson, 6, m Does anyone know the name of Cynthia (Ashcraft) Richardson's husband, apparently dead before 1850, or the name of her father and maiden name of her mother, Milbra? Milbra was apparently dead by the time of the 1860 census, but Cynthia was living near the Beaver Dam Post Office in Union Co., N.C., in 1860 and 1870. In addition, Cynthia is listed in 1860 on the same page as Calvin A. Ashcraft (age 33), Thomas Ashcraft (age 32), and Alfred Ashcraft (age 56). All help appreciated.
