Andrea, I'm sorry I was a little concise with my posting, but as you said, I had posted queries to all that are listed as buried in that little cemetery. No, it is not a fund raising situation. The cemetery is on open land, on a busy state highway and has no designation as to name or history. The existing stones are few and far between; last burial was in 1913. Since it is over fifty years old, it could be designated as a Historical Site and merit a historical marker. Right now, that's just too much to hope for; just a sign of some kind telling the passers by it' name. I'm told by the State Historical Society, that a committee should be formed before a marker of any kind can be put up. That is what I'm hoping for, when I ask if any families are in the area and if they would be interested. So far, I've not found any in the immediate area. Anyone can volunteer but I thought the descendants would like to have a voice, so thought I'd ask. Thanks for your interest, Danna Notify Administrator about this message?
