William H. Richards of Crown Point and Amsterdam, NY

My great grandmother was Annie (or Anna) Richards Anson. She was born around 1863 in England and came to America around 1865. She married Edward Anson and they lived in Amsterdam, NY for the 1900 census. The 1880 census shows Edward and Annie Anson living in Crown Point, NY, but there is a 9-year difference in Edward's claimed age when compared to the 1900 census (1880 shows he was born around 1840, 1900 shows he was born around 1849), so I'm not positive they're the same couple.

I have found newspaper articles about William H. Richards who was injured in a mining accident in Hammondville, NY (Crown Point) around 1879; he lost both arms. I'm wondering if he may be brother to my great grandmother, Annie. The articles show William was born around 1862 in Cornwall, England. He came to America around 1867, lived in Plymouth, PA, and later Crown Point. He later moved to Amsterdam, NY with other members of his family. He was apparently an alderman in 1913-1914 and died in 1925.

Coincidentally, Annie named one of her children William H. Also, I can't prove a connection, but the 1870 census shows siblings Annie and William H. Richards living with their mother, Priscilla, in Mount Hope, NY. Annie and William are similar in age to the Annie and William I'm researching and were born in England. Another coincidence: Annie also had a child named Priscilla.

Any info to prove or disprove that my great grandmother Annie and William H. were siblings would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
