I am looking for information on these RICHARDs (last name spelled Richard in some records & Richards in others):
Thomas listed in the 1880 census of Richland, Clinton County, Ohio. He was born about 1856 based on his age in this census record, to parents listed as born in Ohio. His wife is Adaline KNOCH, born 1856 in Ohio. According to Clinton County marriage records, they were married July 1875.
Near Thomas & Adaline in this census are Christopher & Louisa (KNOCH) RICHARD, living next door to George & Hickabeth (?) Richards. Christopher was born about 1854 in Ohio and Louisa was born in 1863 in Ohio. They were married in Clinton County in November 1878. Louisa and Adaline are sisters, and it appears that Thomas & Christopher may be brothers.
Although Christopher appears in the Clinton County census records in 1900, 1910, 1920 & 1930, his wife Louisa & brother Thomas & wife Adaline are no longer there with him.
He states in the 1900 & 1910 census records that he is divorced, the 1920 & 1930 census records list his marital status as widowed.
Christopher died October 18, 1934 in Richland, Clinton County, Ohio. His death certificate states his father’s name was George Richard.
I am trying to locate Louisa, Thomas & Adaline, and so far cannot find them in any census records anywhere after 1880. Louisa & Adaline are my great-grandfather’s sisters.
If anyone has these names in their tree, I would be happy to hear from you! I do have a photo of Tom Richard to share if anyone is interested.
