The Winter/Spring 2009 issue of Antiques and Fine Art magazine on p. 41 pictures a fine miniature portrait c. 1814 of a Charles Richards. No other family or date information is given of this Charles Richards. I am scanning this portrait in case any of the descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the Richards family ought to have it--it is too good to be missed by the family. It may not have a lot of genealogical value, but it certainly does have a great deal of family and artistic value. A bit of research into the portrait artist, Anson Dickinson (1779-1852), might turn up some possible information about Charles Richards. My email address can be found by clicking on my underlined name above. Please reply to me at my email address rather than leave a message on this Genforum site, which I might not see. If it were a portrait of a Pease individual of the time, I'd certainly want someone to do the same for me. Bill Pease, Lancaster, PA Notify Administrator about this message?
